Ahoy mateys! On the 4th Sunday of every month, you are invited to sing sea shanties with our pirate band, Queen Anne's Blouse, on the Spirit of Dana Point docked at the Maritime Village of the Ocean Institute! This is your opportunity to dress, talk and sing like a pirate. Bring your family and friends and enjoy singing along to classic and original sea shanties based on our fascinating maritime history. Get an introduction to the life of a sailor on a tallship. Learn nautical terms and phrases. Hear stories about the legendary sea cave, Richard Henry Dana Jr. and the real pirate who attacked San Juan Capistrano in 1818. This experience is included with Ocean Institute General Admission.
COST: Adults: $15.00, Seniors: $10.00, Kids: $7.50. Pay at Ocean Institute main entrance.
With your General Admission (10AM-3PM), you can explore marine mammal artifacts, interactive exhibits rotating monthly, and local aquaria. Interact with a shark and ray touch tank, intertidal touch tank, and a bubble tank. Bring history to life with a Sailors Life Tour onboard the deck of Spirit of Dana Point.
